Resetting the Mind

Lately I've been listening to a lot of Apex Mind by Sarah, and I've realized something: the words we repeat to ourselves matter. They don't magically change our lives overnight, but they slowly change the way we see ourselves and the choices we make.

These are the reminders I've been holding onto lately:

  • Everyone in the world has insecurities. It is normal.

  • The more authentic I am, the quicker I attract authentic people.

  • I surround myself with people who speak highly of me.

  • Every day I celebrate my small wins. Working even one shift this week is still a win.

  • Every time I listen to my intuition, I build trust with myself.

  • My gut is telling me that this way of living isn't sustainable, and I need to change it.

  • I can do anything I set my mind to. I finished a BSN program that I didn't enjoy, so I know I can build something I do enjoy.

  • I've shown up for myself every single day.

  • Waking up tomorrow is a blessing.

  • Every day I accept myself a little more, even if it disappoints other people.

  • I've been through a lot, and I'm in a better place than I once was.

  • It has always been me showing up for myself.

  • No matter what happens, I'll always have my own back.

  • I'm allowed to design my life however I want.

  • I choose to make my life easier, not harder.

  • I remove what no longer aligns with who I am.

  • Every day I become a little more like my authentic self.

  • I treat myself the way I've always wanted to be treated.

  • Confidence grows through acceptance.

  • I am good enough exactly as I am.

  • I am already worthy of love.

  • It is okay to be scared.

  • It is okay to feel hurt and process those emotions.

  • My pain is information. It tells me what deserves my attention.

  • Confidence comes from consistently showing up.

  • This is my life. I get to decide what to do with it.

  • I can start over as many times as I need to.

  • The more I care for myself, the better I can experience the world.

My Next Trail

This isn't a rigid plan. It's simply the direction I'm choosing to walk:

  • Wake up with the sun.

  • Wind down when the sun goes down.

  • Stay off technology after sunset.

  • Spend evenings reading books or the Bible.

  • Continue searching for my purpose.

  • Create a life with my own space, shelter, food, and silence.

  • Explore careers that align with who I am instead of forcing myself into my bachelor career that doesn't.

  • Return to appreciating what I naturally have—my hair, skin, teeth, nails, and my ability to move my body.

  • Buy noise-canceling AirPods to create peace when I can't control my environment.

  • Drive only when necessary while I simplify my life.

This post is a reminder that life is meant to be lived, not just survived through deadlines, endless productivity, and obligations.

We are enough.

  • Our environment absolutely influences us, but our mindset often determines whether we remain inside the box or begin searching for a way out.

  • I don't believe we owe the world our lives simply because we were born. Loyalty, kindness, and gratitude have value, but so does honoring the life we've been given.

  • Philosophers questioned everything. Sometimes that questioning led to breakthroughs, and sometimes it led to spirals. Both are part of being human. Asking difficult questions doesn't mean something is wrong with you. Sometimes it's how you discover what's true.

  • Our minds are incredibly powerful. Reset them as often as you need to. Especially if your current way of living no longer reflects who you are or who you're becoming.

  • I used to believe I'd always stay the same. I don't anymore.

Our values may remain steady, but our experiences shape us. They change us. And that's okay.

So be gentle with yourself.

There was work to do yesterday. There is work to do today. There will be work to do tomorrow.

Take one day at a time.

The life you're living today may not be the life you're living a year from now. History often repeats itself—not exactly, but in different forms, different seasons, different fonts.

So I'll leave you with the same question I continue asking myself.

My Vines... are you happy?

And if the answer is no...

What are you going to do to serve yourself?

Until next time, my Vines
